i just read the features list of unfold3d. Blender has all of these.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, since I already own/have 3D-Coat, Blender, and Ultimate Unwrap3D and the price is a little steep for Unfold3D, I think it would be best if I become proficient with what I have.

check out (Headus UVlayout)
also a nice tool but maybe some find the interface a little old?
plus there is intruction videos for alot of stuff on there own site.
