Haha. I remember seeing that thing in the beta and wondering if it was a joke.

First 3D model i ever started (around christmas 2005):
![]() Never went further because that watermark gave me a headache (it was in the viewport also), and you couldn't get files from the PLE to another program (I wanted to render it in Max). Few months (april '06) later I made this, my second model, converting other people's cars helped me learn what a good wire is: ![]() |

if you havent done the joan`darc tutorial you havent lived
my 1st character ever, still brings tears to my eyes ![]() ![]() my first monster was a horrible hack. made it when LOTR came out. it`s not rigged it was modelled in this pose. wire is a mess, the texture is just a photo, the UV is just a planar UV so texture is stretched all over the place and mirrored on his back but who cares, it has PS noise, DOF, GI and SSS ![]() |

wish I had some of the my old Infini-D 'fairytale' (Jack and the Beanstalk) files from 96/97.. damn they were bad.. I had no way of animating the objects or skinning them so each element was just butted together
The UV'ing was horrible as Infini D could only do planar mapping on a per object level with no tweaking allowed. ![]() Ah the good (bad) old days.. Last edited by brad-w; 08-11-2008 at 12:11 PM. |

![]() Basically projected sections of a photograph of a bass to this guy and completely lost interest in him within days (reason for not being complete)....things like bending polygons around mouths and all that jazz was really tweaking my mind. In my defense, he was about the second model I had ever attempted in my life. |
