Sometimes i listen, sometimes i don't. Depends on what kind of music is available.
Often I find one song I really like and set it on repeat :P
Pandora doesn't work for me and last.fm doesn't offer everything I want.
As for type, anything between Brutal Grindcore Death Metal to classical music.

While I am a manager I like it to be hard and heavy, most often its french elektro house, M2 is a wicked station for that..

When I am being creative and writing I love to put on soundtracks that have a nice exciting or playful classical sound.. The music from BattleStar Galatica would be my favorite, Lord of the Ring, Metal Gear Solid, Halo 2 and 3, Fable 2, Mass Effect. Just takes my writing to epic levels
