I do think that the final result looks real cool though and I'm sure there is some good info on there that people can learn from. |

Ok now, I finally got my hands on it.
And I must say that I am very impressed by this! I didn't finished watching yet, but it's amazing the PS shortcuts and small tricks I've learnt with it so far. This is by far, the most complete env art tutorial I've ever watched, I now classify this a must have to all the env artists out there, even professionals will learn a lot from this! |

I have bought a few and will be buying more as well. Great DVDs for sure. He does talk about texture limits and things that are and are not "shippable" in various places, and he's very thorough.

The Gnomon Environment Creation for Production and the related Lighting DVD's are fantastic and I'd advise any beginning env artist to check these out. They cover a whole load of stuff that's really very handy to know.
I've just watched the sample video for that Eat3D DVD, and I'm not sure I could sit through any length of tutorial with his voice. Same with Meats Meier. His voice grates with me and I'm unable to watch his stuff :\ Impressive end result with the Eat3D vid, but it does kind of looks like every other next-gen env piece out there ![]() |
