Metal Gear Solid 4

Anyone else picked it up. Mine arrived in the post on Wednesday and I am on Act 2 at the moment. My opinion of the metal gear series has totally changed since playing MGS4. I really didn't like the idea of the cut scenes but now I love watching them (better than most movies in my opinion). They also have some very cool interactive parts in them.

The gameplay its self is so detailed and fun. Very rewarding as well.

MGS4 might be the reason i finally get the PS3 [Ratchet and Clank being another reason]. i loved the MGS series and never really minded the cut-scenes. i don't know what people complain about the. plus, i hear the MGS4 online is really fun.

What are your guys' PSN usernames? Might have a game sometime. Im thinking of getting MGS4, though im worried it'll be overhyped and therefore turn out crap (like GTA4)

@Heavyness - DEFINATLY get a PS3, dont get the 40GB though, 60 or 80 i think, especially if you want to play all of the old MGS games on the PS3 as well. Its an awesome console, wish more people would give it a chance

is there a "online gaming" thread on GA that has everyone's nicknames? on CGSociety, we had a wiki page dedicated to users and their xbox live/wii/psn nicknames.

maybe a sticky thread?

anyways, there are more gamers then that over at CGS. a big chunk of them play Team Fortress 2 --> CGTalk - Team Fortress 2 - CGSociety Players and even are making maps for it and play testing them. you can join their Steam group here.

And then, theres the in-game XMB and custom soundtracks coming in 2.40 update. It will be the year of the Playstation, thats for sure, better online play will come with better online games, i think whats needed is an MMO on a large scale, the best thing for the games industry right now would be a cross platform MMO, a game everyone can play on PC, PS3, 360 and Wii.

Now that would truely be a revolution. I doubt it would happen though :/
