Content meaning what? Meaning info on the game or more concept artwork that has been done in the past or just a nice enlarged version of the current piece?
I can even begin to inagine how I would simplify the website, we just had it redesigned to simplify it as much as possible and there are now three very clear links at the top(two of which lead to the same page) and that is all you really have to choose from. I had assumed the "Click to Enlarge" was self-explanatory on the right. So if you mean links to previous work, that is something I hadn't entirely thought about. We do have a public gallery online that we really are only showing to new members before they sign an NDA but if this bad taste in your mouth stems from the inaccessibility of this previously done work then it would be worth my time to link up our public gallery from the spotlight site.. I just want to make sure I understand what you are saying so I know how to take your critique. One which I am grateful for you taking the time out of your day to express by the way. Thanks again |

That's more like it - The "Click here For our Public Concept Art Gallery". I mean
![]() The way it was, I kept hitting the "LAST WEEKS ARTIST SPOTLIGHT" links, which was just opening the same 1 page in a new browser window. Then I started from the front page again to see if I was just being dense :P This is where all the frustration came from. The new link improves your site a whole heap, and we can all see the past work you've been touting here. Nice artwork, though. Some of it's really quite impressive. |

Great! ya I am Glad that was what you were talking about.. In fact because of your critique I caugth an error which was that the link to last weeks page was incorrect on ALL of the biographies, meaning it was just 404'ing and I have 404's set to redirecto the index page.. No wonder it was so frustrating. Thanks so much for piping up and letting me know, this will no doubt improve the experience for the nearly 9000 people a month that are checking us out now and we are seeing a big rise in hits to that public page, almost 200 unique visitors as of yesterday so it definitely is grabbing people.
Just wait until you see the art work we will be releasing for our big PR push at the end of October, it is going to be blowing everyone out of the water. Quote:

The concept art is pretty intriguing. They mostly feel gloomy, dark, and somewhat depressing, and the one showing 3 child models by Terry Maranda is like a breath of fresh air. I would like to see some environmental stuff, though, of how the world looks outside of the facilities and buildings.
This is probably the first game I've seen that's shown in its early development, at least the art of a game. I'm guessing the gameplay info will be out sometime later? Looking at the concept art makes me feel like doing some character sketches for it later, lol. I'll see if it'll turn out well enough to see what you think ![]() |

My humblest apologies for the lack of update last week, a daunting house move severed my connection to the online world for a week which was hell..
This week we have a piece called 'The keeper of Life' which represents the evolution of the water technicians in our culture. In a society where water is the most precious and rare commodity those charged with keeping it safe it's recycling have been placed in a revered light the same as bhuddist monks of our day. |

It is always a treat for our concept artists to see their creations turning into something more tangible that eventually comes to life before their eyes on the screen. Johannes Boem is giving us that pleasure this week by turning one of the lower class female children into a finished model. Well 90% finished at least, we are just putting the final touches on the skin tone, shoes and hair but everything else is ready to go and our animators are chomping at the bit to get her walking around and playing. This character is one of our background extras to fill the space and give a more human feel to our environment. Her emotional goal in the game is to make a connection with the player and make him/her more sympathetic to the plight of the underpriviledged in our game.
I do want to re-iterate that besides giving props to our artists this thread is to gather critiques from you guys, so as always if you have something to say about it, something that could be changed please don't be shy, we are dying to hear from you. |

My apologies about the lack of updates last week, my schedule was insane and at one point I had to put in 25 hours of straight work just to clear off my todo list that had piled up so that I could start on new jobs that needed to be done.. unfortunately the spotlight site fell on the back burner!
But this we I hope to make up by giving an special treat which is one of the first studies of our mechanical enemies in the game.. These beasts were once pieces of automated mining equipment that have been retrofitted by a Rogue AI to serve a more sinister purpose. Micha did an amazing job on this guy and the version of him completely wrecked was so good I just had to make a before and after image. Enjoy |

Another exciting day when one of our top modellers, Vicko H, turns a great character into a living breathing entity.. This fellow is an engineer mechanic that works only near the heavily radiated areas as well as other intense and hazardous environments. The colors were one thing that we had a tough time nailing down so any comments on that would be greatly appreciated
Enjoy |
