I hope my answer did sound a bit short. But left for dead is a good example of a Zombie game done right. IMO its a must buy for this year.

When I was in my final year at uni, I was lead designer for a zombie game a team and I created. It was an RTS but the script I wrote could work in many game genres I guess.

I'd be happy to share any ideas I had with you as there was quite a few levels designed.
Ranging from small mountain town, dock/port, island, desolate city, etc

All a bit cliche but who cares I loved them all!

sarge mat- I checked out the left for dead website very cool. I can't wait till it comes out in Sept.

mmcleo11- Ok let me pick your brain. I'm making a city scene that will eventually go into the unreal editor. The scene will consist of a city block of town houses and the a block of shops and then eventually a school. The problem that I'm running into is what small objects should I put into the streets and around the sidewalks. I'm thinking of making a few cars that are destroyed and probably will put some papers all over but what else could I put in the streets, any idea's?

Makeshift fires made from barrels (hobo-style) and boxes could be put in some alleyways.

Have a walk down a street in a town somewhere and see what you can see lying around?

Umm for street props just try and think of the scenario e.g. was there an evacuation, military in the town, any construction in the area? Just come up with some kind of idea that will allow you to populate the scene with appropriate props

But generally cant go wrong with things like boxes, dumpsters, bricks, etc

DazJW- Thanks for the idea's especially I'll have the burning barrels if I have the setting in winter.

mmcleo11- I did just build some scaffolding for the town houses and one of sections is toppled over onto the sidewalk and paint cans are in the streets. I think maybe I'll knock over one of the street lights. This week I'll post some screen shots in the WIP gameart sections.
