As a little competition reference thread for inspiration & ideas, please post images of really cool spacecrafts (photo, 3d, game, movie, drawing, painting, etc.).

Cool ships so far.

I'd like to share these comparisons of space ships for inspration and such:








And lastly a size reference for common objects on earth:

And just a little reference that might help people explain where exactly where they want to comment on i.e."Change the starboard cannon"


Lots of inspiration - at least there are names on them so people can go seek up individual space ships if they are of interrest.

Its actually a wonder noone has designed a "alien" space ship with much more organic forms. All (so far) look very human inspired.

Thanks, I'm glad I'm able to help out a bit.

Here is another genre of spaceships thats a bit unrealistic, but its still something that can be explored - it will definitly stand out.

Organic space ships:

Inspiration; Tyranid race, Warhammer 40.000











I personally think there is a lot of potential in these last two:




And for those of you that dont know the Warhammer universe, here are a few pics of the tyranid race so you get an idea of who is piloting these ships.







I dont think I have that much more useful stuff to share now - except if I find some really cool ship designs.
So I'll stop spamming this thread now.
