![]() ![]() As a native of America...I would recommend it ![]() Slappy, I think art, no matter how artsy fartsy you get, will only contribute to your 3d growth. There are just a bunch of foundation things in it that I'm learning that really help me make better models. Also I think getting a good group of fellow artists online is just as motivating. I have yet to meet another 3d artist in real life....I've never met one But the little group of friends I have online, is the way I learn most of what I learn.

Thanks for the responce, I didn't mean that comment seriously, I love you guys =)
I've met some modders in real life before and its just so much easier talking and such with people in real life, even compared to skype or Ventrillo or the like. I met a fellow a couple of weeks ago whom is creating a UT3 mod with me and we didn't really touch on the modification at all, just talked about everything else to do with game dev, I love it. I agree with the art stuff, hence why I am taking an art course next year (hence the two years till uni) but I don't know if its worth doing three years of art, I'd really enjoy networking and meeting people and such. That being said though having done Art for three years may be better on my CV/Resumé then game dev, I don't know. =( |
