UT 3- collectors edition

When I first saw ut3 coming out I went straight onto the net a couple nights ago and bought the standard game, but realising there was a limited collectors edition I immediately canceled the first order and got that one instead (I'm a sucker for all things a limited b collectors and c games!), I didn't bother reading what the difference was between them until this day
  • limited Collector's Edition contents:
  • Bonus DVD - 10+ hours of Unreal Engine 3 toolkit tutorials, The History of Unreal Tournament and Behind The Scenes of UT3
YAYYY!!!! this is sooo exciting I cant wait to get my hands on it and try putting my own stuff in game and with the tutorials it will be perfect, sorry probably been a ton of posts on this already but I couldn't contain my excitement.
One thing I always love is seeing the behind the game footage, really fascinating.

If someone can answer this for me, why do people use the roboblitz game editor, for unreal stuff because isn't there an unreal editor before this? or am I way off?

thanks

I'm keeping my pre-order because I got it for £18 rather than the £25 it's at now. Or £35 for the "Collectors edition". I'm not one for stuff like that unless I really like the game.

Aye Chris,

Roboblitz is built on the UE3 engine and as far as I know it's the only UE3 game that has an editor. I'm mostly sure that when Roboblitz was first released this was the case. Hope that helps and someone please correct me if I'm incorrect.

You are correct, but Gears of War is available for PC now which is also shipped with the editor.

about the 10+ hours of Unreal Engine 3 toolkit tutorials it made by 3dbuzz. And buzz is it 15+ hours not just 10+. so any one that know Buzz he never keep the tut under the hour count..think we all be looking at alot more then just 15 hours for VTM for Unreal Engine 3

It'll be really cool to see what buzz comes up with this time, i loved his explanation on ued3 (for ut2k3/4).

I also hope they fixed some issues with the editor, GoW (and roboblitz a bit less) editors crashed a lot!

I'm really looking forwards to this and I'll probley get it when I start working and get some cash behind me. Should be good fun playing around with the editor and getting content in game.

I was messing around with the editor that came with Gears of War, and it would crash A LOT. I'm hoping those issues are fixed since I pre-ordered Unreal already.

Also, in addition to all the collector's edition stuff, if you order from ebgames you also get:
* Free in-game character Ariel Iron Clad.
* Unreal Anthology with 5 games including Unreal, Return to Na Pali expansion, Unreal II: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament GOTY Edition and Unreal Tournament 2004 with Editors Choice Edition & Mega Bonus Pack.
