Ut2007 Gc2006

Just found a video taken from GC2006, showing UT2007 ingame action! Again I felt in love with UT.

Not at all HD quality, maybe someone knows a link showing it in a higher resolution.

Somehow some of those explosions with the low quality make them look like 2D sprites Still a Tribes player at heart (or the original UT back in 99 )

Lets be honest after the first UT Epic trying to sell thei engine using Tech Demo.
IMO they achieve something like ID 've done with Q3.
But DAMN! this look sweet. Sorry guys but if there a job a epic you lost me

pankake: ahhh c'mon you dont play UT to see animation as fluid like . let say splinter cell.

I expect it to be next gen in every sense of the word! With the budget they have they should be using mocap for everything from a trigger pull to doing a backflip! (rant kind of over)

It better live up to the hype let me tell ye'..

Yea, i'm realy looking forward to this game to. No reason to speculate on the graphics because of the low quality of the footage. but those GL explosions do look like ordinairy sprite images... (spececially when that guy runs true)

that landscape they fly over does look pretty neat!

Very well then, here's another one! HD this time and some real, kick ass ingame footage! I have seen god, it's Mark Rein! Gorgeous video, gonna make a UT2k7 gun, vehicle, character, level, mod, total conversion!

Not sure but I think the explosions are spritey because they haven't gotten the particle systems implemented or some such engine related thing yet (i.e. they are just placeholders). I remember they said that about a video they showed ages ago.

pancake i love how your solution for animation is motion cap everything,, mocap in action games without a lot of touch up are prettmy much the most stagnant dull things ever.

yeah i saw them demo-ing the unreal editor for 2007 when i was at the GDC. it was really sweet its all in real time; you dont have to restart the map everytime.
