Mr-Brett: I am not sure about IE and Safari, but in Opera you have to enable WebGL for the plugin to work. It's just not enabled by default.

I dont know if it possible for this particular site as I havent seen anything to say otherwise but yes, all other solutions so far can be hacked to get your model. I guess we will have to wait to hear a response from the makers of this one.

Ah ok, my mistake. I admit I didn't try all that hard to get it working.

What does this mean? Feature banner on their site.

Share everywhere

Embed your models on any webpage.
You can also share them privately.
Pro $9/month
Business $120/month

For 120 per month I would want to display my content with my media. I would also want it to be safe. Look at the viewer what do you see? Check out the motorbike that one is a slow loader. You see the mesh being built, there is a model in there. What is in there can usually come out. I just want to hear them say the content cant be ripped. They didnt say that yet. Give em a chance maybe they will. I am sure this is a good and attractive solution for some, but you asked why not, so I said why not for me. Eventually the whole web will be 3d and these guys will be standing in front.

At this moment I dont believe a 3d representation of models that customers can tumble on the web is that necessary. You had the quicktime solution which did the same thing and have had that for 10 years yet almost no one uses it, why not? At this time a free hosted youtube film and a private hosted youtube film for clients loads quicker and is only a film nothing else.

Yeah we visited the link.
Cheerio

Some of you might not be aware of it, but tools exist that can rip the 3D model from computer memory (probably oversimplified way to put it), like 3dripper for example. So whether you use your own site to host a 3D portfolio or not, it doesn't really matter since it's still possible for person with technical expertise to extract the model for themselves.

No, I dont want my content to be compromized from my own site or any other. I am just saying AND I want to have control of my own 3d content as well as it being safe.

There is a lot I want I know

If it's online then it's best to assume that there's a way to steal it
