3D Artist Rant, Time to drop it and move on?

EDIT -

I have decided to remove this comment due to the amount of personal insults I received whilst posting the same thing on polycount forum.

If you are interested in reading the long thread which is now closed for debate, here it is:

My ambition in this industry has gone rotten, so what do you think, time to drop the ball and give up, or shall I keep trying because I am sure a job offer would wipe out the negativity and put a smile on my face.
Yeah I know how you feel. In fact everyone knows how you feel.

You really want opposed situations. A chance to make a steady living in an unsteady sector. Apart from this little explosion you will keep going or you would not have wished to be anonymous.

In an essential world game artists are an unessential commodity. Be clever and mix your dreams with a part time steady income to take the pressure off.

Yeah polycount is a harsher place than this website, I really don't think people would insult much on this forum. I like how this forum's more friendly. On the flip side I like polycounts harsh crits too though.
