good texture reference
Hello all I'm looking around for some good texture reference specifically carbon fiber and Teflon things of that nature for my character I see others using these for there character but I can't seem to find good reference can some one please help me out?

You can generally find most of what you're looking for on the various photo sharing communities like flickr. You wouldn't use the images directly of course, but as reference it should be fine.

I'm not sure about the teflon texture, but for the carbon fiber texture you can probably find a pretty decent tutorial on making your own in photoshop. I know I found one a year ago or so and it turned out pretty good.

Selling good carbon fiber is going to be a lot more about the gloss or spec map, and a properly scaled diffuse texture. I would take look at the way the resin in real carbon fiber reflects light and then work to get close to that. If you don't have access to anything carbon fiber take a drive to a Mitsubishi or Subaru dealership, I think the Evo's and Sti's still have exposed CF spoilers.
