Talking of Edge, has anyone read issue 219 (October 2010) with Alex Garland. It's hilarious.

Have to say edge is a winner for me for games related.
I like issue 220 its got a good article on what happened to Real time worlds.

As far as 3d world goes its a good magazine all round some amazing art that goes into it but its a little bit more directed towards movie and advetisement etc with a decent section on games every few mags

saying that if you want to get good 3d resources them i would suggest 3d world as thier discs that come with it are brill with the workshops, free models and textures.

i'm sub'd to 3d world although has most people have pointed out its not "games" exclusive 99.9% of the tutorials and stuff teach transferable skills for whatever end of the 3d scale your on.

edge is a good read and often runs spotlight articles on studios and i think its 1 of the few mags that runs a monthly jobs section that mr joe public can pick up off the shelf instead of having to sign up to sites.

another mag that i pick up quite often is 3dartist which is much like 3d world but i find they do lean a little more towards the 3d generalist than 3d world which as previously stated can be more movie art.

I have recently created a magazine for the games industry that includes Game Art and features artists. Please take a look.
I'd be really very interested to hear your thoughts.

and if anyone here would like to appear in a future edition, just let me know.
