Mistry's Texture Workflow w/Video
Mistry's Texture Workflow w/Video
Hey guys, this is a 45min presentation that i did in class a few weeks ago. I talk about my Texture workflow, tools, process and stuff like that. I'm sure everyone who watches it will learn or find something new and cool. I also talk about enhancing renders specifically my WW2 set "Normandy 1944". Elements and Principles of Design, Tools, Texture Workflow, and Normal Maps .The video is divided up into 3 parts. There is the link to the video and i've also provided a link to a 283 mb zip file, which includes the tools, texture maps, and a few more cool things. So hopefully you guys can take the time to check it out ! Feel free to drop a comment or question ! Enjoy ! Video Texture Workflow Part 1 on Vimeo HitenMistry on Vimeo |

Hmmm, I think you get two types of texture artists. People who source and others who paint. Most people mix the two together. I'm pretty much 99.9% source, although sourcing one thing can quickly become something else. I feel it gives the most natural results. I think early on when I was texturing the biggest mistake I made was trying to paint my textures, quickly realising where the boundary of source and paint are laid down. But saying that it was a personal experience, would obviously be different for different people.

Philly13: Thanks for watching, i think thats the one of the best ways to improve your texturing skillz. Also implementing elements and principles of design is really key to having great textures.
hentsteph: thank you for watching IchII3D: since i'm not in the industry, i can't really speak on this. But thanks for sharing your POV Dekard: ![]() ![]() ![]() If any one has questions fell free to email or post them here |

Thanks, the BEST way to learn colour theory wouldn't really from sites ( but their are a few good ones that help understand light and colour theory) . but the BEST way is to go back and learn art history. Everything from baroque art to impressionism to post modern stuff, learn from the masters of traditional art. Learn from them and apply what you learned to your digital art, and it'll look 100 X better.
