I went to see Avatar on tuesday after begging my girlfriend to come watch it with me. Anyway, finally when shes got 'spare time' we went round to the local Odeon and watched it in 3D (The only way with a film like this) :P
And Ive got to say, it was the best freaking film ive ever seen! Just loved everything about it. All the hard work that has gone into that has definitely paid off. Really enjoyed it and hoping to go again soon. ![]() |

I have not seen it in imax....yet but I doubt it is full screen. Whenever you watch imax movies and it goes to full screen that means it was filmed specifically with a imax camera. Most theaters dont even own them yet. They are like 300 to 400k. They used one on the Dark Knight and they said the scariest part was strapping that camera to the front of a vehicle for the chase scene, which was full screen. Thats why, if you saw like watchmen, it had "letter boxes" because they didnt use a imax camera. But I will be going to see this movie again in imax, saw it in standard 2d last night and was just blown away. The story was a lot better then I Expected and it was the only movie I can think of with that much cg where the cg never pulled me out of the movie. Simply amazing.
