Hey guys!
Arararrr really hard decision. @ kwak20: I like the idea of the evil/satan style with the flame theme. The colours you have choose are good for the contrast but the hole diffuse looks like a base texture without any detail. Btw, why no flames at the hooves? You have a good base, try to at more detail to the diffuse and more contrast to the specular map. Iīm sure you can push it further. Personally Iīm not a friend of glow maps but in your case it fit. @ rode: I love your colour design. Itīs my favourite. You texture the hair really good!!! @ grupax: You put a lot of time in it man! I like the design as specially the armpit hair ^----------^ All in all itīs good solid work and creepy design. I canīt figure out what's the black at the head? I guess itīs for the colour composition and balance but Iīm not sure. @ mole420: You thought a lot about your creature design and you make a dam good decision!Eyecandy !!! Jamē – Your maps looking a bit “unpurified”. Thatīs difficult, because on the one hand nobody will noticed the real textile structure (diffuse) or the metal ring (normal) in game or even in the viewport, because of the size of the asset. On the other hand itīs a texture competition and in my opinion, if you create you're one highpoly bakes you up to clean your scene/maps.@ rednaz and @ SsSandu_C: Strong solid work with good colour combination. All in all nice work. @ slavq: hey green alien chicken, want some cookies? I get the impression that you put a lot of time in the highpoly. I guess time was running out and you canīt finished your texture maps. In the end your normal maps is really great, diffuse and specular are work in progress. (ps: try to use the inverted green channel as overlay for your diffuse map or an ambient occlusion as multiply.) Ayayay- in the end the challenge was a lot of fun. Maine thing I noticed was the missing detail in diffuse maps as specially for the skin. It make the most of the creatures looking kind of flat. My vote goes to.....doom doom doom.... nobody, because I like solid work as much as creepy unpurified work or even strange ideas. OK, theyīre huge differences between the skill level and presentation, sure, but I try to estimate all, and in this case you all won.
