I might actually have a go at this one, haven't textured a character in years. I also have a week off next week so I should get a decent amount of time to work on it.

My progress so far:



Im planning on painting some more of those feathers on his shoulders and back and redo the legs because im not too happy about those.. and after that I still need to do the specular, lots left to do

Anyway, mdale13, nice start I like the pores and other detail you put in the skin.

Question: Can you add a toon/cell outline to the model? Something like borderlands outlines or street fighter iv ink lines? In the viewport render of course.
