I definitely agree, you have too much wasted geometry - you have a lot of loops and rings that don't contribute anything to the silhouette. A 12 sided cylinder would suffice, and would be tweakable later. Right now, it seems you used a 24 or 32 sided cyl, and most of it is being wasted.
Try to also catch the smoother roundeness of the craft, as you a more distorted and angular silhouette. Work on the thickness of the main wings (should be thinner the more you go outwards), and that geometry on the "afterburner" back side is un-necessary.
