![]() Oh, and btw, I pretty much failed to realize it and tell you in time for the last competition, but detail-maps are actually not allowed, as that'd be 2x normalmaps instead of 1. In that case you have to store the information in another channel of the already existing maps.. say for example, you could store a detail dirt-map in the diffuse alpha.. but no detail normalmaps I'm 'fraid. Cheers!

Yep, we call it a detail map, and we use it very often in here. It's good for wood, concrete, etc. It helps a lot especially on blurry textures. I havent posted any progresses yet, but I hope I will soon. Lot's of work lately. ![]()
