GAMC #3 - Greg3D

Spent about an hour yesterday blocking this this in, and doing a bit of research on uav and planes. Here's a quick 3 min capture of the work so far:

Roughly 4hrs compressed into 4 min. Not really edited, just put together if anyone was interested. I could slow it down, but I doubt anyone will watch 10 min+ of unedited stuff... I know I find it fast, but i thought someone might find it a bit interesting. It might turn out cooler as texturing starts.

The wings are un-flyabley thick. Try to bring those proportions in a little bit.

It's tough to read your forms in that last image you posted. The shading obscures the details. Looks like you are moving along though!

I'll take another look at the wings. Found a few hrs to fit in the last few polys and do a good deal of the uv's. I'll post the pics and vids in the morning.

modeling update:

and the uvs update, this time-lapse is only missing arranging everything onto the one texture sheet, and making the other wing. With the other wing I just copy/pasted and welded it on the other side. I mainly use planar mapping and the occasional automatic w/ welding them back together. Here it is:

Most modeling is done. It's weird sometime when I clone over stuff and re-stitch it in I end up with a few more or a few less polys, I check it and everything seems to be ok - drives me nuts. Anyway, here is the capture for the Uv's. I Mostly use the planar mapping with a few parts automatically mapped then stitched back together. They only thing missing is resizing and fitting them all on the one sheet. Here it is:
