GAMC #2 - TheCorey

A rather messy high poly.... But it looks good so I'm posting it anywayz.

Still have to finish the simpeler bits.

Then on to the lowpoly model.

The model is looking pretty nice, but it seems to be inverted?.. Instead of creases between the diamonds you have edges coming out. Of course this could be a new chair design, but I think it would be a very uncomfi design

Also the proportions seem a bit off. The arm rests reach the middle part of the back of your seat, so either the person sitting on it has to lift up his arms really high to use the arm rest or his head and shoulders would stick out while sitting on the chair. So if it's not to late I would consider looking at the proportions before heading on to the next step

Good luck!

Yeah the lines schould go inside but I had trouble making it like that. It's ok though as I like it this way. The arms seem a bit high right now but I havent yet put in the pillow for the seat.

What is a good method for making a lowpoly for this btw?

Ah right I completely missed the missing pillow.

Well there are diffrent approaches to it. You could optimize your highpoly to be your lowpoly aswell (make a copy and delete edges you don't need.)

Or you could start from scratch and use your highpoly as a reference and model on top of it.(<that's what I used for mine)
