not bad. I'm not sure about the layered padding though, it looks like an armoured armadillo.

hehe, the armoured armadillo made me smile , but yes I agree.
Also I'd move the legs on the back, they stick out to much at the moment. It would be 1 of those spots everybody would trip over if you had this chair in your living room

Good job so far.

But managed to somewhat finish it.

Bare in mind its my second finished asset.
I redid some stuff in zbrush. Baking it was a pain in the ass. Really pissed me off.
Textured it a bit .
Here is the result.

Didn't make the deadline
Timezones ...
Anyway, it was a great experience and i'm quite happy with the way it turned out, being my second asset and all (my first was a nasty looking barrel i made a week ago )
Thank you all for the c&c.
I will see you in the next challenge.

P.S. i know the buttons are way to bright

Hi Butz,

Really pitty that you didn't make the deadline it time, your entry definitely has potential, but I hope you understand we have to draw the line somewhere, especially when there's a prize involved

The texturing looks pretty solid imo, nice material definition (appart from the landing-strip like buttons ). The wire does look very chaotic though, i'd guess that you used the lowest sculpt level as your base? It's not a bad thing persea, but you probably should've cleaned some bits up.

But all together, a very nice piece

Of course i understand, and it's the way it should be. A deadline is a deadline.
The thing is that when i log out, i see gmt-7 , and when i log in i see gmt+3 as the local time. So i didn't really know which was the right one.

I'm still learning on how to do a proper low poly. I used the high poly and removed loops and edges to get to the low poly, and the high poly had a pretty bad topology so it kinda got transfered to the low poly. I'll try to retopo for next time.

I'll fix those buttons and call it a day.

Thanks for the crits. It really helps.
