GAMC #1 - Aphexx

hi there,
i'll try to contribute.
but i dont know, if this is working within the rules, concerning "work near the concept".
what do you think about this?
please tell me, if there will be any chance for me following this concept.

HERE'S THE FINAL PIECE

Well, you added a bit of smoke and lights, then took off a bit of the drawer, other than that it's pretty much the same concept, so there's no need to worry there. Not sure about the environment though, you'd want to keep that as simple as possible.. pretty much just a wall that it's attached to if anything.

thank you tiros for confirmation.
mostly i worried about the topic not being a small wall unit for things.. but being a mega big "burn everything"-unit..

other than that in the concept i would give that thing some support under it. some I-beams or things.. and then big parts of it would be of concrete.

the environment would be only wall and ground plane no texture, just to place it somewhere on a ground

anyway. i think i just do rather than talking

low poly

jo hi, here is the low poly so far..
~ 1500 tris

unfortunately i forgot the texture size restriction, when i invented this concept..
so initially it should have been even more larger, for the player could walk under the "drawer".. but i think now i even have to size it more down, for the texture not to bekome too pixelated or blurred

mapped
due to the big size of this prop, i use 2 techniques in one uv layout.
first part is concrete and broken concrete, which is not unique. on the left.
on the right the most parts are unique or stacked

diffuse

hi, i have only painted the diffuse yet.. and especially the "light plates" are very boring but they might change a bit again, when i did the normalmap. i think the metal plates could use some seams and screws or rivets
..
anyway, the texture resolution kills every attempt to detail.. so expect no detail shots

I think your choice of scaling (and the execution of it as well; nice textures) puts you in the front running in my mind.

Looking forward to it.
