looks like you have the highpoly down, do you make the lowpoly around this?

also was this all done in 3ds or did you take it into zbrush?

Large amounts of the fine detailing could have been done in photoshop, probably would have saved you a bunch of time.

I think you would be suprised how easily and quickly you can do detail like that in 3dsmax without actually adding it to the main body, instead have it hover over the high polygon mesh so even when projected it apears as it should.
