You should sell this to Leonardo Di'Caprio so he can use it in the live-action version of Akira.
TETSUOOOOOO. If I could crit it, which I can, I'd say that it might look cool with a more angry facial expression and body position, like the disease is taking over his body and he's a bit less than calm about it all happening. Awesome work, mate. The detail really does shine on this. Great stuff. |

To me, he looks as if he knows he is screwed and is just letting it consume him. "The Embracment of Death" He is actually wanting to die probably. It's kind of a human thing that is programmed in. When your really old or sick, your not scared of death, you actually welcome it. But, when your healthy and very much alive, that's the last thing on your to-do-list. Overall, I love this piece of art's mood and tone. Excellent work!

Cool stuff, dude. It'd have been nice to see some bones beneath that, but nice work all the same
![]() Skin's a little rough, too... like very smoothed rock rather than skin. It might look more natural (and create more contrast with the diseased part). Big improvement on your last human ![]() Last edited by Talon; 01-03-2008 at 02:38 PM. |

, especcially the part where the disease stops at his figers, cause that looks like the only place where you realy payed attention to the human anatomy for the desease part. On his neck it's more random stuff, not folowing mussle direction or anything...i don't mind the "calm" pose tbh, doesn't bother me at all. Love the lighting setup to btw! ![]() |

Both are just viewer's opinions, afterall. Ben's art is always well executed and thought through. This submission is no exception to that. Absolutely lovely work.My suggestion was more of an afterthought to try and offer up critique that might push the peice further, make it more dramatic and offer an emotive depth that isn't in the peice at the moment, for me ![]() |
