Skate character
-edit- sorry for previously not having a thumbnail, its on there now i hope
![]() Anyways, i made this character based on those found in EA's SKATE game on xbox360 and ps3. I've had this character in various stages in the WIP section but now ive posed it and made a stand for him to go on i though id post it here. - 5113 polys (not including stand) - Normal, spec, colour and alpha (for the hair) used - Each part uses a different texture map to enable easy clothing changes (hypothetically in game) - There are six 1024 x 1024 maps and one 256 x 256 map (for the eyes) ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Zeus; 17-02-2008 at 05:10 PM. |

please include a thumbnail or the post will be deleted. Sorry to be the forum nazi but its to keep the finished work gallery looking less scrappy and also so it shows up properly on the front page

The blue shirt is realy letting this down in my opinion
It just looks like a single blue shade over the whole thing. I would think about having at least 4 or 5 shades of blue in there, also some more detailing around the collar An ambient occlusion pass would really help seperate the shirt from the hoody I agree wih previous comments that he looks a bit pale, people with very pale skin tone usually have noticeable areas of red colouration inplaces like the fingers, nose and ears I like the presentation although I would spend an hour making a skateboard for the guy to hold or stand on |

hey thanks for the comments guys, all are good, i hadn't thought twice about the t-shirt but now i look at it i cant think why i left it so bland. I also agree with the comments about his paleness, i could perhaps at some more pore and weathering detail to the skin.
Unfortunately ive run out of free time and have a new unit at uni to work on for which i need to model two characters for (ill post in the WIP most likely) so i cannot spend any more time on him at the moment, but ill def go back to him and make some changes. Thanks all for your comments and help, the character has really improved since i first posted on here, just wish i had more time for him. |
