It came from the sky....




This was originally a speed texturing and modeling test, but..I got caught up in the details and missed both deadlines. So i turned this into a lighting and mood test.

All critiques welcomed!!

Oh nice. I quite like this but I think it could do with some improvements.

The background is really out of scale and the boards look as tho they are 4 ft wide, shrink them done a loads and beef up the density.

I would also try and sharpen up the wood a little

Maybe add some planes with alpha maps where the cube enters the hay so it looks more like a cube in hay.

It reminded me of an Aperture Science companion cube aswell :P

Just a quick observation. if that cube has a blue glow to it, make sure the color is represented in the light.. It would bleed onto the hay, or have more of a glow around it... It doesnt look like it is supposed to be where it is at... I like the concept though...

Actually those are log walls and i will fix sizing of it. Excellent thanks for the nice critiques especially critiques from people already in the industry.
