Finished Blizzard Entry "Taurck"
ok, This guys done. Thanks for all your Crits and observations, I just need your help with one more thing.
Each entry is only allowed one (1) Image. Im torn over these two images, should I: a) Submit a production style presentation sheet that shows all the technical stuff. This would be good so the judges could see my flats and orthos. b)Just submit the pretty beauty shot because they will want to put these up in a gallery or somehing. Here are the two pics: Beauty: ![]() Production Sheet: and here's a link to the Large version of the Presentation sheet: large version |

< CANT BREATH AAH >
you give me a heart attack... i think the 2nd pic is a better option, this img gives these people alot more information, and i think they are looking for that. And if these guys like your work ( can't believe they dont .. ) they will give that link of your's a closer look and find that other picture aswell. deadly work... have some stars ![]() |

The final came out really nice, Josh! Love the big gold trim armor, and the overall scene of materials you’ve accomplished (leather, fur, etc.). Strong character, powerful use of polygons, and nice cultural elements and adornments. Really like the lower leg feathers and the right arm wrist guard is rendered excellently!
The dark lines in the middle of the axe blade may be a little too black. If they’re on a separate layer, you could reduce the fill a little, and it might help. It just reads a bit too strong, even at a distance. Otherwise the nicks and scratches on the blades look nice, though the section between the edge and center might be a tad noisey. I reckon that could be subjective, so I wouldn’t worry much about it. |

guess this is also a great choice since there is a large image where you can realy see the detail. it is also combined with the 2nd img, only there ain't texture work on it. comparing it i think this background / compasition gives the model much more "strenght" it realy matches with the model and gives it this little extra.
only maybe the last part of the img is a little dark and makes it harder to see the model. love it, good luck with it! Last edited by Xadeko; 31-08-2006 at 03:44 AM. |
