Post up the maps etc to get some more feedback, helps people understand your piece more. Also don't forget to add a thumbnail, otherwise delete. Cheers

how to add the thumbnail?

here there are the textures and normal maps

I really like it;

However I think there are too many tris in the shield, you could probably loose a full edge loop without looseing the shape, the saved tris could be put to better use on the character itself.

I love his face texture!

hmm,....
i really like the final product but there are some things i do not quite get...
first one is the shield..
most of the mesh is low poly but compare it to the shield and you'll see that its way more dense
so like ragupasta said, you could cut some loops without you noticing..

another thing is the normal map...
it looks reeeaaally weird
for example the torso part looks pretty usefull but compared to the part of the legs...
the part of the legs are completly useless while the diffuse shows a lot of muscle definition

also the ankle/feet part looks completly weird, when compared to the other parts of the normal map, this part doesnt make any sence

then the face.. when i compare the normal part to the difuse, i dont seem to reconize Leonidas's face in it(in the normal map)
also, the normal map looks really blocky..

so, even if you just put your diffuse straight into a normal map program(like crazybump) you'll get a better normal map then what you got there


So basicly, i really like your model, only, i would suggest remaking the normal map

looks okay. what bothers me is the difference between the skin color of the face and the torso. and yeah, you could lose a lot of polies in the shield. what matters on it is the silhouette, depth is secondary. and his psycho eyes frighten me

Nice piece and great movie.

i like the model and the texture work but like the other guys have said maybe could have used some of the polys more wisely to get a better silouhette happening. Texture could use some more tweaking of the colours too. I like the face texture good likeness.

The head looks very cartoony compared to the rest of the body but would make a very nice character for an RTS. Theirs an idea :P, 300 RTS
