Rafael Golan MRAP (Large images)

Here's a model I just finished for a freelance gig, it's called the Rafael Golan MRAP, meaning "Mine Resistant Ambush Protected" vehicle, I'm sure they could have thought of a better name .

On to the screenshots:

Here's the reference image used (there's a vid on Youtube about it which proved quite usefull in the development of it also):

Comments and criticism welcome.

The tiretreads are awesome but the rest of the wheel looks less good
the side of the wheel looks abit rushed and the contrast between the top and side differ a bit.
The rest of the vehicle is quite plain and doesnt look finished.(i miss some edge specifix detail to make it look more interesting)
The front of the vehicle seems to have allthe ridges (on the cooler area) modelled even though the texture is letting that detail down.
The windows look plain and a bit too light (if you dont have an interior i feel its better to leave the windows as dark as possible)
I know this vehicle is quite plain in real life...
hope my crits arent too harsh

really interesting model-

I`m actually REALLY interested to see the texture sheet on this- is there any chance you could post it or maybe a thumb nail closeup?

everything looks really crisp, andI just sorta want to know what your method is-

also maybe a wireframe?

Nice piece pankake, model looks solid. I was about to say that the texture looks a bit dull, but then i saw the reference and it looks pretty much like it. Is there any way that you can make it dirty? A little mud spatter near the wheels could make a big difference I think...

Sorry for being a bit dull and boring, but i love this.
It has a certain clean asian style, which is hard to comprehend for most people except those common to it.
I think you've done an excellent job on this model. The only crit i got is the one Dennispls had as well, and that is about the tires.

Thanks for the kind words people.

@Dennispls - Not harsh at all, but good observations, it's easy to miss these things when up til' 7AM rushing to finish . The only way I see the wheel hubs being more interesting is if I model in the changes in depth, otherwise it's a pretty basic black hub with glossy finish with silver wheel nuts. Otherwise, I'll make some adjustments regarding the windows and front grille.

@Doylle - You know, it was hard to restrain myself from going post-apoc on this thing, but as far as I know it's for some military accurate game and these things are pretty new technology, hence why the wear and tear is minimal. I might go and scuff it up for funzies for the folio.

@Konstrukt - That might be a problem, don't think I'm allowed to disclose the texture sheet (even cropped or downsized versions), I'll ask, though.

@Armanguy - Bare with me, I'll put a mini-tutorial together.

@Chris89 - Thank you .

Only crit really is it seems a little clean, it looks a little fresh out of the box and has 0 miles on the clock. I would suggest that you make a copy of your texture sheet and do a second version where he has seen some action, maybe give it some insigniers and painted on symbols to spice it up a little.

Other then that good stuff.
