[UDK] Sci-fi Ship interior

Hey guys,

Recently I've worked on a small portfolio environment, I kind of got inspired by the first chapter of Gears of war 3 that's taking place on a ship.

Normally I only make assets and don't do much for environment making or set dressing.

Feedback is welcome of course. =]

Greetz,
Rockstar6

Assets and everything look pretty good. The lighting however looks a bit faded and washed out.

Seems like it needs deeper contrast and richer colors.

Small update, I adjusted the wall textures a bit. The grime didn't make sense, according to some feedback. So it should look more appropriate now.

Cheers,

Re-adjusted the textures:

Very fine Details.....But why you've keep that red&white stripes? You can make it little small & give another Texture on that part...BTW Great job..how much time you took to make it?

Hey dude, thanks for the comment. Sorry it took so long to answer your questions. Ehm, I kept the stripes to make the walls more interesting and it helped to make it more unique/distinct.
Btw. it's more orange & white, cause of the lighting it could look a bit more red-ish but with red and white it gives more of a medical ship impression and that wasn't really what I was going for.

Besides that, it took me 3,5 week this includes high poly modelling, low poly, texturing and doing all the shader stuff and post processing. I could do a little overview on the shader/texture setup but at the moment I'm working on an art-test and I don't have much time to do it. So pls forgive me if it could take a while

When I have some time again, I'll revisit the scene and try to extend the environment more. As if you can really explore the environment like you would in a game. It's going to take some time but I'm lookin forward to it. =]

Cheers,

Rockstar6

Really cool stuff here, rockstar! Nice blend of colors and camera angles. The design of that leather chair bothers me though, seeing how the armrests don't seem to be functional at all. Sounds like a gripe, but it jumps out at me so I thought I'd mention it. Good luck on your art test!
