I disagree on this. The wear and tear looks well placed. Sure there could be more damage but not all guns are in service for 20 years. I like the look and feel and for me this is one of the better textured guns.

Visually i think the look is good, I do want to mention I get the impression that these are 2 seperate models, when placed in a game it should usually have 2 seperate parts when fired rigged with bones to simulate actual firing when animated, I don't see that here. one thing to also keep in mind is where your polygons are arranged to reflect proper lighting, some lights use vertex lighting and sometimes can show anomalies if there isn't enough segments for even lighting dispersal. I know how it's still percieved that the lowest poly model is desirable but sometimes you just have to add just a little more in certain places to get the best detail.

overall nice job! using a pistol in a game is sometimes my weapon of choice.

If the lad wants to leave it "as is",then that`s fine. Was giving crits on possible additions to the current texture.20 years or 20 days, all weapons collect oil and grime from handling & the environment...Once Again..Hope that`s helpful.

I really like the pistol. I used it as a reference for my own handgun. Actually I think that it has a bit too much wear and tear. It's definitely a gun that's been used in many battles. The only crit I would have is that some of the scratches on the handle seem too artificial and too bright.

The modelling is superb, the metal texture is as well. Although I have to say the grip's texture looks a little... too clean? If your going for a brand-new gun look it looks fantastic, but if you were going for something someone uses everyday (a cop's gun or something) then I would change the look of the grip a little.
