Walther P99

Hey guys,
This model of P99 has 3125 tris, diff, spec and normals.
I appriciate any constructive criticism.

I would suggest you watch some tuts on how to create a specular map, or to check if it's enabled, cause I don't see it having much effect on anything.
Also, I'd get some texture into the normals, such as the grainy texture on the grip.

The spec is enabled, but it's the default from marmoset. The model has a specular map, but I don't know yet how to enable it in marmoset.
Anyway, thank you Thanez for the advice.

On the materials panel, there is a little checkbox under all the maps that says "use specularity". After that, slide the specular intensity and specular sharpness sliders around to find something agreeable (but try to make a habit of having your spec look good on default settings). I still think it is really silly to have to enable your spec map after you connect it, but hey... I still love Marmoset

Nice work on the model btw

As Thanez suggest`s.Find a nice polymer type "grained texture".Normalize the bugger with Ndo or similar.Than scale to fit in ps.(I wouldn`t personally use ps filters, they`re "so obvious" to the experienced eye")....Btw..Model must be decent, or he would have bollocked you for that also.lol..
Hope that`s useful..Cheers.

What Bull said. The model is pretty epic in my eyes. It's actually the best p99 model I've seen yet, and the HP also turned out awesome. All my crits are basically about the spec map not seeming to be applied.
For contrast, you could try setting the same thing up in max with XOLIUL's shader, as it's way easier to use than marmo, IMO

Yeah guys, thanks for the advices.
I also love marmoset and I think it's pretty easy to use.
