[CryENGINE 3] The Old Republic Defender starship Control room

Hi, everyone! For the last 8 weeks I was working on my final project for my college. Now it's done I and want to share with what I managed to do for this 8 weeks. This was also my first time when I used CryENGINE 3, so it was a really interesting learning process. It added more challenge for this project and made it more interesting to work on it.
I modeled everything in 3ds max and I also baked normal maps there. I actually enjoyed baking normals in max. I also tried XNormal but I found out that 3ds max's projection modifier gives you more options for baking a high quality normal maps.
The room was based on a concept art form Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG and can be found HERE.

I hope you will like it

This is pretty cool. Like the hologram

Actually considering the art style of Old Republic is abit of a challenge as it has a very "painted" feel. Looks like you went for more a Mass Effect type look?

Think the reflection on the ground might be abit too much. Some of the objects integrated into the walls and ceilings feel alittle bit like they are floating i.e. looks like not much occullsion.

How did you find interior lighting in CryEngine btw?

Yeah, I don't like MMO style graphics like in WOW or The Old Republic. I like more realistic look, like Mass Effecr right. That was my main reference in terms of graphics.
As for the objects integration, I'm pretty happy with what I have so far. Considering that it was my firs project with such a scale =)
Lighting in CE3 is awesome! No light baking nothing. Just place a point light adjust some settings hit ctrl+g and enjoy your level in real-time. I also like how easy it is to assing a projection texture for the light source.
