So I got the all clear to share these with the fine folks here on these forums, so the following is some stuff from Socom 4's DLC Demolition pack. This was the Train Station we built for the final chapter of S4, we then re purposed the building to work as a muliti-player map. I had Fellow artist
Crista Forest helping me out, and overall it was a fun project even though the deadline was pretty tight.
I started by blocking in the basic meshes in Maya. During this process I'm working with design and figuring out the gameplay and where the objectives need to be.
At this point the meshes are taken out of maya and into our editor, these are the pieces we constructed to build the final level. The level really takes shape during this portion of creation, and I assemble the level with these pieces into what you see below.
So this is what is built in our editor, there is no lighting, so it looks pretty flat, but you see enough in order to put things where they need to be placed.
Then you get this, final shot in-game, with help from our lighting department of course. It turned out pretty well, would of loved to of had more time to mix up the pallet a bit more, but time was really stacked against us on this one to get it ready for the DLC pack.
