Clean renders, and nice texture style.
The only thing I want to tell you is that you should be carefull with texture size. For example, the fire hydrant and the frame both use a 512 x 512 texture. That looks like a bit of overkill for me. I also wonder why the pillar has a 512 x 512 texture. It looks like a 512 x 256 texture to me. But those are all minor things of course. The presentation looks awesome and your models and textures very clean. Kev_boy is right about creating high polies for simple objects IMO, but thats your choice. Again, nice job, some professional looking objects! |

Hey everyone!
philipk@philipk.net: Thanks a lot dude! Ya I agree with you about the props. I just couldn't see things clearly anymore. It was 6 in the morning and I had to give it in for 11 am for school. Thanks a lot for the critic and comments man! Kev_Boy: Perfect_Storm: The texture for the pillar is indeed a 512x256 I must of done a mistake and added the older one that I used for the my test, as for the fire hydrant, thanks for the tip man maybe next time I'll try using a 256x 256 and see what kind of results I can get out of that. Thanks a lot for the tips, advice and critics! Kev_Boy: The fire hydrant high poly was just to simply show the pipeline from high res to low res and to test out the hole thing in UDK. As for the window frame it was just me testing out some new stuff in Zbrush. All these high res were created in zbrush. Practicing sculpting environment props in zbrush. Don`t worry you're not old school! Its just that these things were part of some testing I did. Thanks dude. |

Thanks Mistry. By the way, when I started building my portfolio at the end of the Campus. I used your portfolio as reference and inspiration. I'm happy you like my portfolio.
Cheers! |
