Tauren Hunter "Korg HighMountain"

Hi guys, this is my latest 3d model referenced from a toy design from the WOW universe. The character is called Korg HighMountain, I'm sure many of you who plays WOW would recognize him in some form. I really love the concept art and design of the creature so I went with a more realistic and gritty approach in textures and modeling. The model has 12k polygons including all the amours and accessories. Two 2k * 2k texture layouts, each consists of Diffusemap, Normalmap, CavityMap, Ambient Occlusionmap, Specularmap and Alphamap for furs. The high res model was sculpted in Zbrush 3.1 and refined in Maya, finally rendered in Mental ray. Please feel free to criticize and comments will be appreciated. Cheers
Updated the render with tweaked specmap and finally had the time to rig it and pose it.

actually the spec here kinda lets it down sicne it does not fit the material.
Your character is covered with fur but your spec makes it slimy :P

I agree with Matroskin, it's a nice character overall but the specmap makes it look wet.

You can tweak around the value in the specular Roll Off for the "individual amounts of highlights" off and eccentricity "for how bright you want". At least that's from what I understand but I'm agreeing with Matroskin and Cyphris that my material is too shiny. Thanks for the replies guys.

not really sure what is happening to the fur on the chest, that is the biggest problem area when it comes to the specular. The legs look pretty decent specular wise, but that might be because of the pose and the lighting. the horns are awesome though and seem like they got a kind of polish to them.

personally i think you would have benefitted with going away from the concept slightly, basing the character proportions around the refs that you got, but adding more loose hair and fur and giving him your own personal tauren touch instead of just showing that you can make accurate models from a concept.

good modeling although, but give the specular layer another go
