TrashMan : 2.5D Actiongame [gameplay footage]

Hi, this is my team's first project, I've responsible for all ingame artworks (cause i'm the only artist in the team) This game was developed with XNA and FlatRedBall game engine, we made this game for a game dev compatition and luckily won the first place 3 month ago, very tough work too, because the compatition gave each team only 20 days for the whole development process.

also, on this gameplay footage it's have only one stage include boss in the end. but the game is totally playable and almost bugs-free

maybe someday later i'll distribute it for download

for a video, here
TrashMan video footage

and here is some story cutscene screenshot

This does look pretty cool, like a cross between mega-man and Contra. Good job!

wow i really love the megaman feeling you gave to the game. But wich part is flat red ball?
To my knowledge FRB is a 2D engine, no?

Yes, you're right. FRB is 2d engine. but, in 3d space. It's has XYZ and you can construct the level in 3dimensional with 2d path and collision detection.

Neat, I like it. Boss enemy was very good looking. 2D boss fights are always so awesome.

*nostalgic

Wow this looks fun. It's been awhile sense I've played a side-scroller. Good job. The other thing I like a lot is that the game is about recycling. It's always nice to see a game that has great game play and also a moral sense to it. Again nice job.

For only 20 days work that's really cool.

With it being on XNA I'd love to see an Xbox Live Arcade release
