Mercenary

This is my first attempt to make a last generation game character. I found very interesting the technics used today to do this kind of work.
I followed the workflow used in Epic Games showed in the Ballistic book "Character Modeling 2".
It was very fun to make this character and learned a lot. I will try to make more and better characters in the future.

There are 7644 triangles for the guy and 3262 for the gun. Rendered using scanline. No post production in the character.

Critics are very welcome.

I hope you like it.

I love it, especially your presentation. Great stylised character and a big f*ckoff gun = win

There are a couple of little things that I noticed when looking close...

some of your specular levels seem a little bit off, for example the coat and the metal seem to have the same specular levels

the camo texure on the trousers is a little bit blurred in comparison to everything else

small things though on a seriously kickass model

Amazing stuff, the only thing apart from what Ben mentioned is that i think the skull on the back of his coat looks a little 'fake' whether its just the render setup, or bad composition it just looks out of place and he would look better without it. Thats just in my eyes though!

How long did the total project take you by the way?

Ace modeling and texturing man, very impressive.

Only problem I have, is that I don't care for the low collar line of his body armor. Looks kind of strange. Nothing else besides that though.
