Try to get more edge detail in.
Currently it looks a bit hand painted .
Look at lots of references of containers and try to mimic that.

the entire idea of video games is cheating. in fact all art as a concept is lying. outside of that, all that matters is, does it look good? any method you use to achieve a solid look is valid. as it is you have a flat blue material with a dirt brush stamp on it. and some decal detail. you need to go further than this to be convincing, no matter how along the balance of painted/photosourced you are. when you put artificial limits on your available methods you will only do your work harm. instead try to gain mastery of all available techniques and you will be in a position to decide what is best for you then.

hey, no problem. i just like to see people achieve their greatest potential in what is quite a complicated craft. one thing i would advise; everything you make, try and get it into a few games engines. that will give you an appreciation for the differences between how realtime renderers work, and how the offline renderers work. it will also give you a greater sense of achievement.
good luck with your corrador scene.

Sometimes you have to wander a bit from your ref. Sticking to ref is bad for you as an artist. If you're only immitating some image or object you can't give your own idea of it, so you can't express yourself.
