My Game Art Portfolio

Hi guys, I am graduating from the Art Institute of California - Orange County very soon. I prepared this little environment and prop portfolio hoping that I may please get some critique from you guys. One of my work which is the warhammer orc axe should look a little familiar since I posted it here before.

I did also post this on polycount, just wanting to get as much feedback as possible.
Again, Critiques and Comments are very welcome!

Absolutely fantastic work you've got there. Models look great, and your textures also really nicely done. No real crits on anything, it all looks brilliant. You'll definately have no trouble getting a job in games (if you don't already have one).

Really great stuff man. That trashcan is really neat. Are your environments in-game screen grabs? If so what engine are you using?

Hello,

Of all the scenes you posted, the chinese grocery store scene at the top looks best imo. It has the best models/textures and feel to it. imho the rest of the textures on your other stuff is a bit to noisy and sometimes lacks solid material definition. (best example are the pipes in the basement scene).

everything considered, you do have an impressive amount of work there

ps. please attach a small image for the thumbnail system. thanks

Nice stuff!

really like the dirtiness of everything.. really gives it alot of atmosphere..

please let me know if you are looking for any work in modding. I'm currently running a very short term mars based mod..

we are about half way through the process right now and looking for artists who want to help develop a gritty mars environment..

Something like mad max meets mars...

Im a bog fan of the pots on the stove.. ive seen quite a few of those here in japan. they have a very atmospheric effect for me...the even have bigger ones that were used for bathing ages ago...

there are some pics just for interests sake...cheers

Everything in there looks pretty solid to me. Over how long/what period roughly would you say the collection has been developed over?

Good stuff man! My only crit atm is that most of the scenes you have right now are very dark, moody and sometimes hard to see. You may want to add a variety piece and or scene to show you can model and light a scene with a different mood and or time of day.

Otherwise, keep it up bud. =)
