Simply.. Stunning and brilliant! This must have been one hell of an unwrap job

Edit: Would you mind posting some texturemaps? I would really be interested in that.

I agree. This is really good work! I like looking at your wireframes, and it would be really cool to see your texture maps to see how you laid out the uvs, if you're feeling generous.

in respect to th polycount issue, gode could always build a lower poly version for projection mapping?

Fantastic engines there. Trains are awesome, please show us some more when they roll out of the workshop.

lovely stuff, and the polycount is fine for portfolio piece that is supposed to be in a train simulator

to the people compaining about the polycount - would you rather have this on your reel or an 8k train with small textures?

really fantastic work

Yeah very nice models...
Also was just having a small heart attack at the poly count. I am so used to freaking out at anything above 7000 polys, that when I saw that I got a tad freaked... hehe! I currently aim to only ever have 60 000 polys on screen at one time...
Nice work though!!

3 2048 maps is probably way to high aswell, 1024 maps would probably be very ok. But it all comes down to what kind of focus these trains will be in. As a prop you probably would want them at 1024 at most.

Beautiful work! One of my first jobs was modeling train cars, but of course they weren't anywhere close to this detailed. Very impressive!

Great models and the texturing is stunning. However too high poly for game engines?
