Marlon Brando Bust
3707 Triangles
1024 x 1024 Head Texture 512 x 512 Body Texture Diffuse, Normal, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion Maps A lot more polygons went into the hair than I initially expected. I'm sick of looking at this model, so it's time to move on. Go watch Apocalypse Now if you haven't seen it.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

For the Apocalypse Now version, you might as well apply a push modifier to your geo and crank the hell out of it. Apparently he'd put on so much weight that they were told to keep him in the shadows or he wouldn't do the scene :P
Ace work though, Josh. A great likeness. Been watching this over the last month over at PC ![]() |

Reverenddevil - Thanks
![]() James - You're totally right about that. I did it the heavier version as an afterthought, but it ended up being the better of the two. I don't think the likeness is very accurate in either but all in all, it turned out alright. Baida - I usually have trouble with the eye area - especially for Brando because he has heavy/fleshy eyesockets. I ended up placing the spheres for the eyes first and building around it instead of placing it last. I had to redo it a couple times to get it right. Glynn - Haha, yeah, Brando is almost more famous for his weight gain than his acting. And you reminded me, I wanted to do one last render in half shadow: ![]() |
