The Double Happy team is watching...and cheering...and refreshing...and cheering again.
Keep up the good work everyone, love the diversity in styles and approaches.

I’m so interested in what everyone’s interpretation is of the narrative turns out to be. The more the merrier I say, there is always going to be some level of crossover due to the narrative we are working from. And well done to everyone who has posted so far, be encouraged and keep the great art coming. Mullis |

My first Oolark and Shyala submissions.
This is my very first post ever on the Game Artist forum, and I'm pleased to submit my initial thoughts for the Double Happy contest. Good luck to everyone involved! this is fun

unfortunatly the attachment system is broken and we can only see thumbnails.
You need to uplaod your images to an image hosting site like photobucket or image shack. Really nice work everyone, keep it up.

got my hands on a Zbrush trial, and decided to sculpt some concepts, exploring an amphibian/reptilian like Oorlark.
First ever Zbrush sculpts : D (i have sculpted a lil in blender) base meshed from Z-Spheres. Disappointingly there is no DynaMesh in the trial as its R1 i believe top ones more brutish, i went back to the base mesh and went in a more frog-like look especially the legs, for the lower version. Any feedback would be greatly welcome ![]() ![]() Update: ![]() Update II: Decided to test out poly paint and explore some general ideas for colour. ![]() Update III: I'm really having fun with this ![]() ![]() Really wish i could use Dynamesh, the hand is being problematic... Will ReMesh and Reproject retain all my sculpt and poly paint information? I'll try experimenting, Zbrush is pretty daunting at first. Update IV: heh my post is getting really long. exploring ideas, i am leaning toward removing nostrils all together. ![]() although the first one closed, looks a bit like a separate mouth. a possible direction to take the head more reptile like and less amphibian, and losing the froggy underbite altogether. Too much fun, and too many ideas : D Last edited by Grimm_Ninja; 20-04-2012 at 09:53 PM. Reason: updated. again |

just an idea i thought i'd share ^ ^
![]() Update: Turntable did this about 3 hours ago, wasted time i could've spent concepting. tried youtube but it destroyed the vids fidelity 10 fold. might refine it later, but now i am moving onto exploring another concept. oh and sorry about the speed, i can't seem to adjust it in the trial version Last edited by Grimm_Ninja; 21-04-2012 at 01:44 AM. |
