Pre-DomWar V - 3D Character Art
![]() Nov 10th, 11am] Rule Change: 3D Character Art - No displacement maps, No bump maps, and no painting normal maps in any fashion. [Nov 11th, 10am] Rule Change: 3D Character Art - High res sculpting is allowed for diffuse map generation only, and retopology is allowed. - To insure no one cheats by photoshop'ing extra details into their final presentation image, high ranked entrants can be asked to submit their models to Dominance War officials to verify that the specs (no normal maps, no extra photoshop’ing on final presentation sheet, no extra polygon usage, no extra texture sheets) were met. Entrants that fail to submit their models to us, will be disqualified from competition. Submitted models will be used for judging purposes only. They will not be sold, or used for any means other than checking to see if you followed the rules. Note from Founder: - If you are looking for a loophole in an attempt to find a way to put height details onto your final models so that your model looks like a high res character using a low res mesh, then you are trying to defeat the purpose of this challenge. hi-logo_allegiance_logo.gif hi-logo_allegiance_color.gif dw5_logo_fire.png dw5_logo_lightning.png Complete information can be found on the official Dominance War V website.

And my spoon, I mean sword.
And would certainly be nice to finish, espeically without rushing it. Although im probably gonna do a high poly for the AO and re-top so im sure ill be pushed for time. And I'm never gonna finish my current project, first comicon, then pre dom of war and then it'll be actual dom of war.

Ok fair enough no AO it is, it'll make me use hand painting methord only which is a good thing. I'll probably still do a sculpt just wont go into too much detail.
High res sculpting is allowed for diffuse map generation only, im guessing that is relating to transferring colour/Material then?

Hey guys, I'd really love to join, but I am not sure of several things. If I join 3D Character art only, the design is all up to me, or do I have to follow some given concept? And well...um how much skill is required to join the competition under GA?
