Screen cap before mesh correction (n-quads , etc.), and "lowpolyfying"



The other side seems a bit bare, but i will add some warning sign like "Danger ! It's hot !"

Looking great, man! keep at it. I want to see this thing in action.

Not much to critique. Looks in ship-shape so far. Although, I do think that making a low poly version of that spiky rim near the back is going to hog your tri budget (if you want to keep that silhoutte).

At last it's optimized ! (2995 tris)



Concerning what you said Polygoblin, I removed half spikes and silhouette is preserved.

Gasp. The optimization was useless : the high poly was not unwrapped, and so the low one. I have to do it again, arrrrgghhhhh

Nah you're on the right tracks, you don't have to uv unwrap the high poly to do a bake, just unwrap the low version.

I had little problem in the final sprint, and as you can see, several texture are missing or need to be corrected.
So I prefer not to post a non-finished work in the final submission thread... But will I full finish this one very soon, and am ready for the next comp, YAAAAA !



(actually my tris count is 2928, the engine is the famous Marmoset Engine (tm))
