Current High poly WIP that I started today. This is my first time on Game Artist and joining any competition so hopefully I get to finish. Never done any normal mapping so I'm hoping to work hard and learn from the great people here on Game Artist.

Updated WIP. I may be finished with the high poly for now let me know what you think. Im testing normal map baking since its my first time, just tested it on cylinder and seems to be working fairly decent. Going to bake an AO for the texturing process later on.

Ok think I'm done with the high poly, going to begin the low poly tomorrow and hope all works out well. Lots of unknowns for me, normal maps, AO, and I dread texturing

p.s How do I change the topic name of my thread? I forgot to put my name in the header like the rules state. Do i have to make a new thread?

Can't really think of anything to say other than it looks like a good high poly model. The test bake looks pretty clean so keep it up (I fixed the thread title too)

Yes thank you for the fix on the title! Im going to change those panels on the back, im not liking them at all after sleeping on it last night. Going to make some changes there and going to make some slight tweaks to the tubes tonight to get some slightly more detail.

Hmm cant get these pictures to show for some reason <shakes fist at imageshack> ANyone got any ideas for some free hosting that works?

Finished high poly I think so now to begin the normal mapping process




High and low poly together. Low poly is done and sitting at 2,971 tris at the moment. C&C welcome!

Highpoly looks cool, not too sure about the box at the back though, best of luck with the bake! (They can be so shitty sometimes!)

Thanks, it was in the concept albeit a little more tucked in with some wires coming out of it. Wanted to stick as much to the concept as I can. Im going to move it a bit somewhere else because your right it seems a bit out of place but i tested the bake on that object and it worked perfectly, now im hoping it all works out as good.
