GAMC #4 - Myles
Seems I have the time to work on this one, so thought I'd give it a shot. Been a while since I've done anything around here
![]() I'm not following the concept to the book, going for a old generation of Jet Engine (closer to something used in the Vietnam War). It'll will be well used, but not damaged or too grubby. Anyway here's the start of the High Poly, still got a load of details to do around the underneath, and a few modules on the sides. ![]() ![]() Production shots for those silly enough to be interested - http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...ambert/One.jpg http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...bert/Two-1.jpg http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...bert/Three.jpg http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...mbert/Four.jpg http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...mbert/Five.jpg http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...ambert/Six.jpg

Alrighty, I think I'm done with the High Poly, I may end up adding that vertical pipe that everyone else has done, but with many of the fuel injecting pipes I'm worried about hitting a poly count.

Okay here's the finished low poly, had to remove some details I wasn't expecting to have to, the exhaust pipes also look a bit blocky, but I think the texture should help that. I've also got a extra 200-300 tri's on the back exhaust which is where quite a lot of unseen detail is going. A bit worried about the bake, so wish me luck!

Initial bake. Here is a test bake to see how things went, its looking pretty solid at the moment, got a few area's to fix in photoshop but otherwise it went quite well.

Very good
only thing I am not sure is the junction black line on top of the big & small cylinder, not present in the high poly model, for the rest is a good work (& different from most of the engine,so this is another point at you favor i think ) |

Thanks Marcus, that black line is a baking error where the UV was rendered a few pixels out, I will fix it in photoshop. This was also just a test bake on quickly made UV's so better can be expected
